Tuesday - Pizza (cheese, pepperoni, or veggie) or Turkey Corn Dogs
Wednesday - Beef Slices with Mashed Potatoes or Vegetable Lasagna
Thursday - Smashed Pinto Bean and Cheese Burrito or Roast Beef Sandwich
Friday - NONE (Class dismisses at 12:00!)

Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.

Book Orders – Scholastic book order and software order forms were sent home last week. If you are interested in ordering anything, please be sure to send the form(s) back by this Friday, September 14th. NO CASH will be accepted! Make checks out Scholastic Books. Please attach your check to the form with a paper clip or in an envelope or ziploc bag.

Spelling Words – The spelling words for Unit 3 were sent home today.

Collaboration Day – This week Friday, September 14th, is a teacher collaboration day where classes will dismiss at noon. If your child is staying for any part of homeroom, be sure to pack a lunch for him/her since there will be no hot lunch!

Singing in Church – Thank you for bringing your child to church on Sunday to sing! The song sounded very nice!

Field Trip – We will be going on our first field trip on Thursday, October 18th, to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Please watch for more information to come home in the near future.

School Pictures – School pictures will be taken next Wednesday, September 19th. Information was sent home last week about the school pictures.

Math Test – Tuesday will be our first math test. It will be based on lessons 1-10. I gave the students a practice test last Friday so they could see what types of problems will be on the test. It does not need to be turned in, it’s simply for practice! I will always give the students a practice test a few days before the test.

Parent Assistance – Would anyone be willing to help me once a week with making photocopies of worksheets, notes, etc.? I’m looking for someone who is able and willing to do this on Monday mornings. I typically have everything ready to be photocopied by 8:00 a.m. Please let me know if this is something you’d be able to help with. Thank you!
