Memory Work:
Tuesday, February 12 - #151 & 152
Thursday, February 14 - #157
Friday, February 15 - None J
Hot Lunch:
Monday – Baked Chicken Strips or Baked Potato
Tuesday – Pizza or BBQ Chicken Riblets
Wednesday – Beef Tamale with Spanish Rice or Vegetable Soup
Thursday – Crispy Chicken over Mashed Potatoes or Cheese Quesadilla
Friday – Penne Pasta with Marinara Sauce or Butter or Turkey Corn Dog
Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.
Spelling Words – Spelling words for Unit 20 were sent home today.
Valentine’s Day – We will be having a short Valentine’s party this Thursday, February 14th. Thank you to those of you who volunteered to supply a treat. We do not need anymore treats. Please remember that if your child plans to hand out valentines that he/she should give one to each member in the class to avoid hurt feelings.
Math – Please encourage your child to do his/her best on each math lesson. Some of the students have been making simple mistakes such as copying the problems wrong or making errors on simple addition, subtraction, or multiplication facts. I always encourage the students to check their work over when they are finished, but I think it would be helpful if some of the students took their math home to be checked over by a parent as well. It would be beneficial if all of the students would practice flashcards at home on a regular basis – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Midterm Reports – This week marks the midway point in the third quarter. The students will be bringing home a progress report on Friday. Please sign and return it to school after viewing your child’s grades and discussing it with your child.
No School – Next week, February 18-22, there is no school! Monday is Presidents’ Day and Wednesday through Friday the teachers will be at a conference at Gloria Dei in Belmont. Tuesday’s just a freebie day since it doesn’t make sense to go to school for one day in the middle of the week! J
During this Valentine’s Day week, remember the one, true example of LOVE:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
