Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.

Spelling Words – The spelling words for Unit 5 were sent home today.

Tests – On Monday we will have an English test on unit 1. Thursday we will have a math test.

Stuffed Animal Day – One of the students landed on the “Chance” square on Homeworkopoly and picked the card “Stuffed Animal Day!” Therefore, on Wednesday, the students should bring their favorite stuffed animal to school! Please bring only one stuffed animal!

Memory Work
– The October memory work schedule was sent home today. A reminder that the words for the hymns/songs are included with the schedule, so there is no need for your child to bring his/her hymnal home for the hymns!

Parent/Teacher Consultations – A sign-up note for parent/teacher consultations was sent home today. If you have more than one child in the school, please be sure to fill out a form for each child!

Standardized Testing – Next week we will be taking the standardized tests. Please make sure your child is here on time each day, especially since testing will start as soon as school begins each day. Also, please make sure your child eats a good breakfast each morning so he/she will not be distracted by hunger.

Piano Lessons
– Because we will have a different classroom schedule next week due to the standardized tests, there will be no piano lessons next week, September 29 – October 3!

Midterm – This week marks the halfway point in the 1st quarter. Your child will be bringing home a midterm progress report later this week. Please sign and return it by next Friday, October 3rd.

Collaboration Day – This Friday, September 26th, is a teacher collaboration day where classes will dismiss at noon. If your child is staying for any part of homeroom, be sure to pack a lunch for him/her!
