Weekly News - November 17-21

Memory Work:
Tuesday, November 18 - #90,91
Thursday, November 20 - #93,94
Friday, November 21 - Hymn 374:1-2

Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.

Spelling Words – This week is a review unit. The lessons review the spelling patterns and words from units 7-11. We will not have a pretest! The final test on Friday will consist of 25 random words from units 7-11.

Book Fair – Please remember that the Scholastic Book Fair is being held in the fellowship hall all week! Books always make great Christmas gifts! There are books for both children and adults! Purchasing books at the book fair is also a great way to help raise money to purchase books for our classroom libraries!

“Fun-raiser” – This Thursday, November 20th, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., you are invited to help support our school and get to know Apostles’ friends and neighbors at Chevy’s on Almaden Expressway. Apostles will earn 25% of the meals purchased. In order to qualify, your purchase must be accompanied by the official flier. If you do not have the flier that was sent home with your child a couple weeks ago, please stop by the office and pick up another one. Also, please pass along a flier to your friends and relatives who might be interested in supporting our school as well.

Thanksgiving Break - Next week will be a short week due to Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, November 26th, school will dismiss at noon. Thursday and Friday there is no school of course!

Substitute Teacher – I will not be here next week, the two and a half days before Thanksgiving break, so someone will be subbing for me. I will be meeting up with my parents and brother from Wisconsin and joining them on a family vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I’m really looking forward to not only being on vacation, but also spending time with my family! J Anyways, if your child is sick, or if you have any other needs to contact me, please be sure to call the school office or stop in the classroom in the morning since I won’t be here to check e-mails or pass them on to the sub. Thanks!
