Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.

Spelling Words – This week is a review unit. The lessons review the spelling patterns and words from units 13-17. We will not have a pretest! The final test on Friday will consist of 25 random words from units 13-17.

Science Fair/Open House – A reminder that the Science Fair/Open House will be held this Friday, January 23rd, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Make sure you take a good look at the different types of projects that the students in grades 5-8 do because next year your child will be completing a similar project all on his/her own (It’s not a class project!). Keep in mind that this year’s projects are science projects, but next year your child will be completing a social studies project.

Biome Boxes – This is a reminder that the Biome Boxes are due this Thursday, January 22nd. Due to the lack of space in the classroom, it would be great if they are kept at home until Thursday.

Report Cards – Report cards will be sent home this Friday. Please sign and return it by next Friday, January 30th. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

“Fun-raiser” – Next Wednesday, January 28th, will be the next Apostles Fun-raiser. This one will take place at California Pizza Kitchen at Oakridge Mall, from 11:00a.m.-9:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to help support our school and get to know Apostles’ friends and neighbors! Apostles will earn 20% of the meals purchased. In order to qualify, you must present the flyer to your server when ordering. A flyer was sent home today. Feel free to pass along a flier to your friends and relatives who might be interested in supporting our school as well. Should you need another flyer, stop by the school office to pick one up.
