Weekly News - May 5-8

Memory Work:

Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be brought back anytime this week.

Spelling Words – Spelling words for Unit 31 were sent home today.

Sacramento Track Meet – All of our students who participated in the track meet in Sacramento yesterday did an excellent job! Congratulations to all the students on their efforts! It was a fun day and I enjoyed seeing the students do their best and having fun with their friends. They did a fantastic job representing Apostles. Parents, thank you for allowing your child to participate in this fun event! It was nice to see so many of you there!

Tests – On Wednesday we will have a math test. Please note – We will be having another unit test in California History next week. It would be very wise for your child to put time and effort into studying this week!

Spring Musical – The spring musical, “Recess!” will be performed this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Come watch this fun performance put on by students from grades 4-8! There will be a dress rehearsal on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. All students will be attending this performance.

Book Orders – Scholastic book and software order forms were sent home last Friday. If you are interested in ordering anything, please be sure to return the form(s) back with a check (no cash will be accepted) made out to Scholastic Books by this Friday, May 8th.

Please note, this is the last opportunity to order Scholastic books and software this school year!

Progress Reports – Please remember to sign and return your child’s progress report to school after viewing and discussing it with your child. As always, if you have any concerns please contact me.

End-of-the-Year Field Trip – Please note that our final field trip will be on Monday, June 1st.

Collaboration Day – Next Friday, May 15th, classes will dismiss at noon due to a collaboration afternoon for the faculty.
